The Ball and The Cross-Symbology and Texe Marrs

From a bound periodical called “Catholic World,” Volume 147, April to September 1938, Page 220:
“The Ball and The Cross is one of the symbols of Christianity. It signifies as is obvious, The World and The Faith.” When the Catholic publication states that this symbol is one of “Christianity,” it is certain Roman Catholicism is meant. Below are two photographs of this page

The same symbol with some variation is found in the photograph below of the Texe Marrs newsletter Power of Prophecy. Notice The Ball and The Cross symbol which is utilized in the upper right hand corner as a logo, with the addition of a dove descending. The foot of the cross is planted on top of the area occupied by the nation of Israel, on the eastern side of the Mediterranean Sea. If one draws a silhouette outline of the newsletter logo, it is identical to the one acknowledged by the Catholic publication as a symbol of Romanism. This symbol of Catholic evangelism and Catholic faith triumphant over the world demonstrates Catholic faith triumphant over not just the world, but especially the land of Israel and the Jew.

May the observant viewer come to his own conclusions of why this Popish symbol is prominent on the newsletter banner of a man renowned for his expertise in the area of occult symbology.
