Lord's Day Sermon preached by Pastor Turner on November 4, 2012. This was just in advance of election day in the USA; and just after the mid-Atlantic states were widely impacted by hurricane Sandy and winter storm Athena -- which the godless failed to recognize (and denied) as the providential work of the Lord God.

In this sermon, Pastor Turner reads from the beginning of his new book The Christian Minister. From the word of God, the AV1611 King James Bible, citing numerous Bible passages, Pastor Turner shows the unique, God-imparted characteristics of the ministers He has ordained by His predeterminate wisdom and will to preach His word and to instruct His sheep.

The Christian, who has been commanded, " Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15) does well to heed the lessons in this sermon, and to discern if a man who calls himself "a man of God" has indeed been called by God to be a minister to Christians. (And please note well that any woman who calls herself a preacher or ordained minister of the word of God is a liar according to the proof found in God's word. Those who have put themselves under a woman "preacher" would do well by God's grace to flee that perversion of truth. Those women who would presume to stand in the pulpit, or anywhere, to preach to God's sheepfold are deceived and deceivers.)

THE CHRISTIAN UPON HIS CONVERSION TO CHRIST LEAVES HIS FAMILY AND ALL THAT HE HAS TO FOLLOW THE LORD AS COMMANDED IN HIS WORD

KJV 1 Thessalonians 1:6 And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

KJV 1 Thessalonians 2:14 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews:

KJV Hebrews 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

THE CHRISTIAN WILL BE HATED, DESPISED, OR MERELY NEGLECTED BY THOSE THAT ONCE LOVED HIM DEARLY---THE CHRISTIAN WILL FIND NO AFFINITY IN THE SPIRIT WITH UNBELEIVERS, EVEN IF THEY BE MOTHER, FATHER, SISTER, BROTHER, HUSBAND OR WIFE

THE CHRISTIAN WILL FIND THAT THE SPIRIT OF GOD GIVES HIM THE PLAIN COMMAND: KJV Ephesians 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.JV Ephesians 5:7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

THE CHRISTIAN FINDS HIS SEPARATION FROM THE WORLD AND THE MEN OF THIS WORLD IS ENFORCED BY GOD EVEN WHEN THE CHRISTIAN WOULD ENGRATIATE HIMSELF TO THIS WORLD AND SEEK TO MAKE FRIENDS OF THE MEN IN THE WORLD.

THE MEN OF THE WORLD WILL NEVER BE EASY IN THE PRESENCE OF THOSE WHO HAVE THE HOLY GHOST IN THEM---THE MEN OF THIS WORLD FIND THAT THEY ARE INCAPABLE OF LOVING THE CHRISTIAN IN THE MANNER THEY LOVE THEIR EVIL FRIENDS, SIN, AND THEMSELVES.

The mercy of God in this all is manifest in the statement of Jesus

KJV Mark 10:30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

ETERNAL LIFE IS A SPIRITUAL CONCEPT THAT WILL MANIFEST IN THE PHYCIAL REALM

PERSECUTIONS ARE A PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL SPIRTUAL REALITY TO THE CHRISTIAN

KJV Psalm 35:19 Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.

KJV Mark 3:32 And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.KJV Mark 3:33 And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?
